FIELD: physics; communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication systems. Methods of detecting duplication and reordering for HARQ transmission are proposed. To detect duplication, a receiver determines whether a decoded packet x for ARQ channel y is a duplicate packet based on packet x and a previously decoded packet for ARQ channel y. For reordering, the receiver determines whether an earlier packet is still expected on any other ARQ channel based on previously decoded packets for ARQ channels, and redirects packet x only if no more earlier packets are expected. On another ARQ channel z there are no expected earlier packets, if (1) a decoded packet was received on the ARQ channel z during a given time or after or (2) within the time window from the current time, no correctly decoded packet was received on ARQ channel z.

EFFECT: more reliable data transmission.
