SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely psychiatry, and covers treatments of antidepressions. That is ensured by combined action of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRUI) and phototherapy. Thus from the very beginning of the therapy, SSRUI is administered in standard therapeutic doses without dose selection. In addition, negative-ion aeroionotherapy is implemented. Photo- and aeroionotherapy are performed in a phototherapy room of the area 14 m², at total light intensity 2500 lux, and aeroion concentration 1×10⁵/cm³, in the morning and in the evening with session duration 1.5 hours.

EFFECT: higher effectiveness and reduced treatment time both in seasonal, and nonseasonal pattern clinical course of depression.
