FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to devices for respiratory assistance of the unconscious patients. A laryngeal mask airway comprises an inflatable cuff that forms, at least while being inflamed, a centre hole. The cuff can be inserted through mouth of the patient and established in the preset final position wherein it, while being inflamed, surrounds the true glottis of the patient. The apparatus comprises an air tube that form an internal path between its proximal and distal ends, and an isolated air pass, formed with the inflamed cuff being in the preset final position, from the proximal end of the tube through the internal path to the true glottis, and a strip on the air tube at its proximal end so that the strip is outside of the patient's mouth and projects from the air tube towards the patient's nose when the cuff is in the preset final position. The ventilation technique using said apparatus involves insertion of the cuff through the patient's mouth and establishment thereof in the preset final position, inflation of the cuff, attachment of an adhesive tape to the strip and to the patient's head so that the tape moves the strip towards the patient's head. In the other embodiment of the airway, the cuff is provided with a collar that supports epiglottis. The collar has an external perimetre and internal perimetre and consists of a solid sheet of the material enclosed between the external perimetre and internal perimetre of the collar which is attached to the internal perimetre of the cuff along the external perimetre, and its internal perimetre forms a hole that is smaller than the centre hole.

EFFECT: application of the invention allows increasing stability of the apparatus position and eliminating blockage of air pass.
