FIELD: heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to device for performing endothermic or exothermic reactions and can be used during fabrication of synthesis gas. Reactor includes casing comprising external wall of reactor and many heat transfer tubes inside the above casing. Tubes are intended for heat supply to or removal from catalyst layers located at least outside these tubes. Reactor includes built-in elongated elements extended parallel relative to heat transfer tubes and located in external periphery of catalyst layer. Built-in elements are peripheral heat transfer tubes via which heat exchange medium flows. Heat exchange medium is gas flowing in counterflow to process gas flow passing through catalyst layer.
EFFECT: providing more uniform distribution of temperature throughout catalyst layer in reactor and achieving high conversion of process gas.
