FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: centrifugal separator contains vertically located cylindrical body with bottom, in top part of which it is located tangential branch for flow introduction, exhaust manifold for fume extraction and branch for removing of discontinuous phase in its bottom part with guiding line on inner surface of casing, implemented in the form of plate in the form of continuous helix, located on-the-mitre to casing generatrix towards gas-liquid flow and forming with wall of casing helical channels for collection of liquid. Edge of each underlying coil of helical plate is located higher than attaching point to casing of superposed coil. Casing is outfitted by hollow back truncated cone, located between tangential branch and guiding lines. Length of section outfitted by guiding lines is equal to 0.5÷0.7 of height of parallel portion of casing. Attachment angle of plates is equal to α=20°÷45°. Length of pitch between coils of helical plate is equal to 0.5÷0.8 of plate width.
EFFECT: expansion of scope of centrifugal separators, effectiveness increase of separation of two-phase flows, simplicity of manufacturing.
