FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to centrifugal return-straight-through separators intended for separating two-phase flows, primarily, gas-fluid. Proposed centrifugal separator comprises coaxial tapered-bottom cylindrical housing and inner cylinder with slots, tangential gas-fluid flow feed branch pipe fitted at the housing upper part, fluid discharge branch pipe arranged at the housing bottom part, gas discharge branch pipe, insert attached on the cylindrical housing cover and representing a hollow perforated reverse cone with central overflow pipe arranged inside cylinder. Staggered cylinder slots have their edges furnished with plates fixed at an angle to generatrix of inner surface along gas flow, while ledges limit upper edges of the slots. Circular flute with overflow fluid accumulating pipes are arranged in symmetry nearby inner cylinder lower edge. Cylindrical housing diametre vs inner cylinder diametre makes 2 to 5. Diametre of tapered insert holes varies from 0.01 to 0.05 of insert base diametre.
EFFECT: expanded performances, higher efficiency.
