FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at extracting diamonds from diamond-bearing mixtures of minerals, for example from pre-concentration concentrates. Efficiency of separation is increased by switching from piecemeal supply of material to a flow mode and selectivity of separation is increased to a level necessary for reliable detection of diamonds in the stream of material when one diamond and several grains of accompanying minerals pass through the exposure zone at the same time.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and selectivity of separating diamond-bearing materials.
