SUBSTANCE: control device (5) comprises displacement mechanism (21), and two guides (27) arranged on artic (1), along its lengthwise axis. Said device comprises also slides (26) arranged to displace in guides (27) and slides actuator arranged with form closure between guides (27) and slides (26), when displaced. Note here that said actuator comprises motor drive device (23a, b). There is also a position pickup (S1) to recognise slides position, connected to control device (40). It is possible to use air drag reducer comprising aerodynamic panel (10a, 10b) of artic cab. Note here that said aerodynamic panel can turn.

EFFECT: controlled distance between artic and trailer, reduced air drag at higher speeds.
