FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: high-capacity road train consists of a truck-tractor and a semi-trailer-heavy truck with a cargo platform, the fifth-wheel coupling device of which is made with the possibility of moving in the longitudinal direction due to the gearing. A metal base plate is fixed on the frame of the truck-tractor, in which strain gauge sensors are installed on the sides to control the loading of the fifth wheel, frame and axles of the truck-tractor. Above the base plate is a sliding metal plate with a fifth-wheel coupling. A toothed rack is located along the base plate in the middle. The sliding plate in the front and rear parts has two gearboxes with gear wheels interacting with the rack. Limit switches are installed at the ends of the rack. All electrical elements of the circuit are connected via cables to a modulator and a control unit located in the cab of the truck-tractor with a monitor that displays current information from sensors.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of using truck-tractors as part of road trains with high-capacity semi-trailer-heavy trucks of different connecting dimensions and weights.
