FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: steel material coated by Zn-Al alloy with excellent workability by bending, herewith applied layer contains in % by weigth: Al from 25 up to 85, one or both from metals of Cr and Mn from 0.05 up to 5, Si from 0.5 up to 10% of content of Al. The rest is Zn and unavoidable admixtures, in which middle dimension of zinc sparkles on coated surface is 0.5 mm or more. Method of receiving of mentioned steel material coated by Zn-Al alloy includes application of coating on eel material by means of hot immersion into tank for coating application containing in % by wt: from 25 up to 85 Al , from 0.05 up to 5 of one or both from metals of Cr and Mn and Si in amount from 0.5 up to 10% of content of Al. The rest is Zn and unavoidable admixtures, cooling of coated steel material at a rate 20°C/s or less up to temperature of consolidation finishing of applied layer, and thermal isolation of steel material after consolidation in conditions defined by following formula: y ≥ 7.5·109·t-4.5 where t means temperature for thermal isolation of coated steel material from 100 up to 250°C, and y means time of thermal isolation (in hours).

EFFECT: high corrosion resistance and excellent workability by bending of applied layer.
