FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: proposed technical solution is related to measurement equipment and may be used in instrument making, lighting engineering, medicine, thermometry, etc. Method consists in the fact that flat beam of light rays coming out of point at a certain angle is directed, trace of reflected rays is registered, realised onto flat screen, with the help of video sensor with double-coordinate photodetector primary information is produced about shape and dimensions of curve, which is geometrical area of reflected rays trace, sent to computer, computer processing of signal is carried out, coordinates of points xi, yi are identified on specified curve in vicinity of its extremum, and diametre is calculated: where i is number of point on curve; m is number of points; a=(Zq-lcosσ)·tgσ; l is distance from point, where from light rays come out, to axis z; σ is angle of plane inclination, where rays falling on surface lie, to axis of cylindrical surface of measurement object.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurement of geometrical parametres of objects due to reduction of measurement object vibration effect in transverse plane.
