SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of cosmonautics, may be used both in process of flight and during ground processing of space objects, and also in process of their storage. This result is provided due to the fact that in process of each measurement of free volume of gas cavity of hydraulic pneumatic compensator, current weight-average temperature of working medium or adequate temperature of environment are measured, and correction ΔVt is identified for temperature deformation of working medium between i and i+1 measurements, caused by possible difference of its weight-average temperatures ti, ti+1 in process of specified measurements, afterwards actual volume loss φa of working medium from system per unit of time is defined with account of correction ΔVt from ratio given in formula of invention.
EFFECT: simplified control of tightness in space object hydraulic temperature control system filled with working medium and equipped with hydraulic pneumatic compensator, and expansion of temperature range of working medium, when control may be carried out, with provision of high accuracy of control.
