FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to secondary power supplies. Proposed power source comprises current transformer 1 with secondary 2, its primary being connected to phase conductor 3. It comprises also voltage transformer 4 with its primary 5 connected to secondary 2 of current transformer 1 while its secondary 6 is connected to output 7 of rectifier diode bridge 8 with smoothing capacitor. Outputs terminals 9 of said bridge 8 are connected to output terminals 10 of voltage stabiliser 11 built as DC-to-DC converter, while output terminals (12) of said stabiliser 11 are connected to power supply and storage battery 14 in parallel to power supply load. It incorporates also shunting branches15 connected in parallel to transistor 16 and resistor 17 connected in series, said resistor being connected in collector circuit of transistor 16 while base of said transistor is connected to output of voltage divider 18 of aforesaid shunting branch 15. Voltage divider represents resistors 19 and 20 connected in series and in parallel to input terminals 10 of voltage stabiliser 11. Current flowing in phase conductor 3 induces secondary current in secondary 2 of transformer 1 to flow in primary of voltage transformer 4. The latter operates in nonlinear mode in operating dynamic range of phase conductor currents making about 20 dB. This allows decreasing dynamic range of secondary 6 output voltages. Rectifier diode bridge 8 converts variable voltage of secondary 6 of transformer 4 into constant voltage fed to input of stabiliser 11.
EFFECT: stable operation of self-contained HV automatic metres.
