FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in producing turbo generators and the like machinery that requires cooling of electrical machines. In compliance with proposed invention, turbo generator comprises stator casing, rotor and stator and open system of gas cooling, and differs from know designs in that rotor core has axial channels and is arranged in stator casing to form gas passages between stator core outer surface and casing inner surface. Gas impermeable bulkhead is arranged inside stator casing, parallel to turbo generator shaft, as well as at least two gas feed manifolds and two gas discharge manifolds. Note here that gas feed manifolds are arranged on stator casing, one searing on the side of front end face shield and the other one being located on the side of rear end face shield. Mind that one discharge manifold is arranged in rear end face shield and the other one oseta in front end face shield.
EFFECT: reduced temperature of stator winding and core, uniform temperature distribution over length; higher reliability of operation.
