PICKING-UP-TURNING FACILITY OF FLAX PULLER MACHINE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A01D45/06 

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to agricultural engineering and can be implemented in flax pulling machines. The facility consists of a picking-up drum mounted on a frame, of a cross belt conveyer and of guides forming together with a working branch of the cross belt conveyer a screw channel for transporting band of stems; further the facility consists of arc-shaped rods arranged at inlet of the screw channel; the rods envelope the picking-up drum; the arc-shaped rods have counter curve at the section of the tape of flax entrance into the picking-up-turning facility; also the picking-up-turning facility rests on a self-aligning wheel. The rods on the section of drum enveloping have a shape of a logarithm spiral described in polar coordinates with pole coinciding with drum rotation axis, by equation R=α exp(-kφ), wherein parametres α and k are determined as α = r_d + h_p + H and k = -ln[(r_d + h_p + h)/(r_d + h_p + H)]/φ, where r_d is radius of a picking-up drum; h_p is thickness of belt of picking-up conveyer; H is thickness of picked up flax band; h is width of channel at the end of the section of enveloping picking-up drum with guiding rods; φ is angle of enveloping picking-up drum with guiding rods.

EFFECT: increased reliability of process of flax bands picking-up.
