FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gate device used for moulding food products and to its gate link used in cutting-off devices to split continuous food dough shaped as a log. The moulding gate device contains a multitude of links (15) of the gate located in a circle as well as it contains means (21) for creating a pressure contact. Each link (15) of the gate contains a moulding surface (17) and a sliding surface (19). The moulding surface (17) of each link (15) of the gate is in contact with a possibility of sliding with the sliding surface of its adjacent gate link (15). The moulding surfaces (17) of the gate links (15) surround expandable hole (9). Means (21) used for creating a pressure contact constantly support contact between the moulding surfaces (17) and the sliding surfaces (19) of the adjacent gate links (15) so that surfaces (17, 19) are pressed against each other with a possibility of sliding. Means (21) for creating the pressure contact are a resilient element causing uniform movement of the gate links (15) towards closing of the hole (9). The moulding surface (17) and sliding surface (19) of each gate link (15) meet at one end of the gate link (15) and the resilient element is drawn around other ends each of which is offset from the mentioned one end.

EFFECT: invention facilitates maintenance of the device.
