SUBSTANCE: invention is related to fish industry and may be used in treatment of small fish and preferably medium-size fish. Device has measuring, transmitting and executing mechanisms and drive. The measuring mechanism includes a pusher positioned vertically, a rack, probe and a load-bearing resilient element. The pusher is installed in fixed guides, the rack is mounted on the pusher, the probe is mounted on the pusher lower end, the load-bearing resilient element which is an extension spring has its one end attached to the pusher and the other end is on a fixed guide. The transmitting mechanism includes gearing, the driving wheel of the gearing is coupled with the measuring mechanism pusher rack, the outlet gear wheel of the system kinematically connects the transmitting and executing mechanisms.

EFFECT: invention ensures reduction in losses of food fish material when cutting off fish heads.
