SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fish industry and can be used in fish dressing machines when treating small and mostly medium-sized fish. The device contains a measuring, transmitting mechanism and actuator and a drive. The transmitting mechanism contains a shaft on whose ends there is a gear wheel used for connection with the measuring mechanism and a driving link of the actuator. The driving link is made in the form of a circular cam with a figured groove in the form of Archimedes spiral to communicate with the roller mounted on the movable body of the knife shaft.

EFFECT: invention ensures high precision of knife adjustment on the cutting line, significantly reduces loss of fish food material when cutting fish heads.
