FIELD: medicine, veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns veterinary medicine, particularly apparatuses and devices for removal and clearing of hoof horns to their natural form and size, removal of points of horn shells. The apparatus comprises a case handle, a working shaft pivoted therein, a cutting unit comprising a disk cutter and a bearing disk with a sector notch both mounted on the end of the working shaft, and an electric drive with a shell. The device is also is supplied with a wind-powered impeller in-built he case handle on the back side of the working shaft with an electric motor fixed thereon, and a fluid reservoir. The latter is provided with a cavity, a discharge duct and a ported conic gate valve therefor and a rod with a metal screen that interacts with solenoids of an electromagnet, and piped with the case handle. Said pipe passes through a wall in a front part of the case handle. The wind-powered impeller supplies a high-speed air flow on a disk cutter and within incision of horn and bone formations, and also on dispersion of the liquid delivered from the reservoir. On the front end of the working shaft, there is a device with external and internal gear wheels and a bearing. The external gear wheel of the working shaft constantly interacts with the gear wheel, available in the device, an auxiliary shaft, bearing two gear wheels. The working shaft is supplied with splines to move a runner having the same splines and carrying the gear wheels, and a grooved device for a lever movable in the slot formed in the case handle, and fixation in the position required for operation of the apparatus. The back cover of the case handle has openings, while the front part of the case handle is threaded to enable moving and fixation of a backing plate in relation to the disk cutter.
EFFECT: application of the invention allow for improved safety and efficiency of operator's work in processing of animal's horn shells.
