FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to plastic working and may be used in aviation and power industry to manufacture high-duty items for gas turbine engines, gas turbine plants and airplane structures of titanium alloys. Plastic working of titanium alloys includes processing of billet in β - plane and its further processing for final dimensions. Processing in β - plane is carried out to produce intermediate dimensions of stock with allowance. Further processing for final dimensions of billet is carried out in α+β - plane with extent of deformation of at least 0.2% in the whole volume of billet. Besides cold treatment of billet is carried out.
EFFECT: invention provides for elimination of microcracks formation, improved efficiency of plastic working processes and physical-mechanical properties of items from titanium alloys.
