FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method is related to processing of surfaces in solids of revolution with rectilinear generatrix. Rotary motion is imparted to stock and tool, and rectilinear motion is imparted to stock along axis of tool as matched with rotary motion of tool, on helical generating flat of which there are teeth arranged. In order to improve efficiency of processing, rotary motion of tool is realised around axis that lies in plane perpendicular to axis of stock rotation, and stock is additionally moved in direction of its own axis. Besides tool teeth are arranged onto concave generating flat.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
