FIELD: metering equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to railway transport, namely to tracking of railway car locations within the limits of railway transport network. System comprises equipment for detection of railway car location, which is installed on railway car, mark read by electronic method and attached to railway car for identification of this railway car by roadside device for mark reading and communication equipment of locomotive. Communication equipment is installed in locomotive and is arranged with the possibility to establish communication with equipment for detection of railway car location, when railway car and locomotive are coupled into a common train, besides locomotive communication equipment functions to identify coupled railway car and includes transmitter for data transmission to remote receiver, moreover, this data includes railway car data. Equipment for detection of railway car location includes transmitter for transfer of data on location of railway car to remote receiver, therefore, transfer of data from railway car may be executed by means of its own transmitter or by means of locomotive transmitter, when it is in train.

EFFECT: reduced transfer of data from railway car transmitter.
