SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway automation and telemechanics for control over railroad train, their coupling, detaching and validation, as well as to track railway cars in the depot. System comprises one or more drive wireless gateway installed in depot; and one or more communication control unit mounted on railway car; wherein driving wireless gateways and communication control units form a depot network; computing device has access to said depot network, and the computing device has software which performs the following functions: obtaining data from said communication control units mounted on railway cars, with respect to events or conditions of railway cars on which said units are mounted; constructing logical inferences on said data on the state of said rail cars; reporting on said logical inferences and logic outputs are assigned to confidence level based on methods and available data used to construct logical outputs.
