FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device can be used for investigating oscillatory phenomena, including resonance phenomena in various objects and in experiments during teaching activities. A computer with a program is used for measuring, processing and displaying results. The device for investigating oscillatory phenomena has a source of forced oscillations, an oscillator with a probe immersed in the investigated medium and an oscillation detector. The oscillator is made in form of a tuning fork with possibility of regulating natural oscillation frequency. The source of forced oscillations is a loudspeaker connected to the sound card of the computer. The oscillation detector is an inductance coil connected to the sound card of the computer. The probe is made in form of a thin plate which can rotate and can be fixed in mutually perpendicular planes. The device additionally includes a computer with a program, made with possibility of controlling measurement, processing and displaying results.

EFFECT: wider field of use due to controlled variation of parametres of the resonant object, improved visual expression and quality of teaching.
