FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: presence of explosive gas is monitored by installing fixed devices which detect inadmissible concentration of gas in a volume. Occurrence of the lower limit of explosiveness of a gas mixture in several monitoring points is detected, for which forced ignition of the atmosphere in an explosion-proof combustion chamber is carried out in each point. Temperature difference of the methane-air mixture is created in the explosion-proof combustion chamber and in the space where gas has accumulated where the chamber is located, thereby lowering the setting for actuating advanced control of the lower concentration limit of explosiveness depending on the temperature of the methane-air mixture in the combustion chamber.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and rapid control.
