DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC EXPLOSION AND FIRE LOCALIZATION IN MINE TUNNEL Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC E21F5/00

FIELD: mining, particularly prevention of fire spread over mine tunnel caused by methane-air mixture and coal dust explosion.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises flame sensor, interface block with trigger and explosion suppression block. Device additionally has control apparatus, which controls abnormal gas content in mine space, lower gas mixture explosive limit recording sensor, main cable, which connects lower gas mixture explosive limit recording sensor with control apparatus, compressed air cylinder, compressed air discharge regulator, which controls air discharge from the cylinder, air-blast wave control sensor, open fire detector, "3 OR" member, "2 OR" member. Outputs of flame sensor, air-blast wave control sensor, open fire detector are connected to explosion suppression block through corresponding "3 OR" member inputs. Outputs of lower gas mixture explosive limit recording sensor and air-blast wave control sensor are linked to compressed air discharge regulator inlet through "2 OR" member inputs.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of mine tunnel protection due to lower mine-air explosive limit control.
