SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, the device has a capacitive sensor, a temperature sensor, an RC-filter, an amplifier, a precision rectifier, a repeater-amplifier, a keyboard unit, a display unit, a sinusoidal voltage generator, an analogue-to-digital converter and a computing unit. The capacitive sensor is a flow-type sensor and is in form of a cylinder with longitudinal openings lying radially on the cross-section of the cylinder. Copper cores are inserted into the openings and are connected together. The temperature sensor is a pulsed semiconductor sensor which is built into the cylinder of the capacitive sensor.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining fuel octane number with identification of the type of fuel.
