FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: method of service transfer from CDMA network to GSM network consists in the following: it is determined weather mobile station is served by boundary CDMA cell, here mobile station includes GSMlx protocol stack for executing procedures of service transfer to CDMA network and GSM protocol stack for executing procedures of service transfer to GSM network; list of GSM cells-candidates is sent to mobile station after determination that the mobile station is served by boundary CDMA cell; frequency-candidate search reply message is sent to mobile communications switching node (MSN) after receiving list of GSM cells-candidates; frequency-candidate search control message is sent to mobile station which message indicates that mobile station measures frequencies of adjacent cells in surrounding GSM network; report of measurements is sent to MSN and GSM cell is selected for service transfer based on the report.

EFFECT: simplification of subscriber transition from zones of GSMlx coverage to zones of GSM coverage.
