SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to exchange of messages through wireless communication, and specifically to methods of transmitting reports for short messages in a CDMA wireless communication standard. The technical outcome is achieved by that, for the SMS service of the CDMA network, there are two defined messages: SMS delivery report (SMS Deliver Report Message) and SMS sent report (SMS Submit Report Message). A new request for receiving a report is also defined (Report_Req) in the sub-parameter alternative of choosing to reply (Reply Option) to a report message on SMS delivery (SMS Deliver Message) and a message for submitting a SMS-message (SMS Submit Message), the presence of which is provided in the SMS for CDMA network. Each report message can contain the first value, indicating on whether the SMS-message was properly received or with errors, a second value, indicating the type of error, if there is an error in the SMS-message, and details of the user.
EFFECT: automatic transmission of information, which is contained in a transfer protocol data unit for a SMS-message delivery report, for which the transfer protocol data unit provides for transferring the details of the user.
