FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: initial suspension containing inorganic fibre and binder is poured into a moulding container and then dried and calcined. The binder composition is prepared based on double- or ternary systems using silica sol, aqueous solutions of aluminium and magnesium salts. The binder is introduced by saturating a crude block with binder composition with subsequent holding for a fixed period of time. Drying is carried out at 100-300°C for 1-3 hours and the block is calcined at 700-1200°C and held for 1 to 4 hours.

EFFECT: making filtering materials with high hydrodynamic stability and suitable for reusing after cycles of purifying liquid media.
