SUBSTANCE: catalyst for oxidative demercaptanisation of oil and oil products is described, where the said catalyst is phthalocyanine deposited activated carbon and is distinguished by that, it contains charged phthalocyanine with structural formula I or its supramolecular ion-associates with oppositely charged phthalocyanine with structural formula I, I:(R⁺)_nPcM, where R=-CH₂N⁺(CH₃)₂CH₂CH₂OHCl^- (chol_n- PcM), n=2÷8, M=Co, Fe; (pym_n-PcM), n=2÷8, M=Co, Fe; (R^-)_nPcM, where R=-CH₂P(=O)(O^-Na⁺)₂(phos_n-PcM), n=8, M-Co or II, II:(R^-)_nPcM, where R=R¹=R²=-C(O)O^-Na⁺ (carb₈-PcM), n=8, M=Co, Fe; R=R¹=-C(O)O^-Na+, R²=H (carb₄-PcM), n=4, M=Co; R= R¹=-S(O)₂O^-Na⁺ , R²=H (sul₄-PcM), n=4, M=Co. Also described is a method of oxidative catalytic demercaptanisation of oil and oil products with atmospheric oxygen at room temperature in the presence of the above described catalyst.
