FIELD: heating systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to power engineering. Steam trap with throttle element includes housing filled with granular material, retaining mesh partitions, steam condensate mixture supply and condensate discharge branch pipes. Housing of steam trap is filled with granular material in the form of quartz sand with particle size of 0.5 mm not more than 90% of its volume.

EFFECT: invention allows providing operating reliability and increasing life time of steam trap.
