FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at manufacturing of friction assembly, particularly to bearings of metal-fluoroplastic friction bearings. Bimetallic composition is received by cold plating with following cold rolling. It contains basis from steel stainless strip AISI321(08X18H10T) and two layers from strips of tombac "Л90". Thickness of initial components of layers of bimetallic composition is selected for providing of specified thickness of plating layer from each side from 3.0 up to 6.0% of total thickness of bimetallic strip.
EFFECT: invention provides achievement of qualitative properties of bimetal, stimulating increasing of operating characteristics of bearings: durability, stability against wear, stability against corrosion in corrosive mediums, mechanical strength.
