FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: escapement device, located in bottom of intermediate ladle, contains top sleeve and bottom sleeve, one inlet opening for inert gas and located on or in bottom sleeve sensing element. Sensing element defines thickness of layer of depositions in sleeve. Feeding of inert gas into escapement device is regulated on the basis of measurement signals of sensing element.
EFFECT: there is provided reduction of amount of deposits in channel of sleeve of escapement device and improvement of metal.
