FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: watercraft comprises control unit, motor, motor control unit, storage battery, and storage battery control unit, all arranged in single hull. Watercraft incorporates electrically drive propelling screw arranged in hull flow channel. Control unit, motor control unit and storage battery control unit controlled by watercraft control unit via switching device are interconnected by data transfer channel. Controlled switching device incorporates data exchange system bus. Method of operating watercraft control unit consists in data and power transfer between control unit, motor, motor control unit, storage battery, and storage battery control unit via high-current connector assembly.
EFFECT: reliable control data transfer, continuous control of system components and emergent stop of watercraft.
