FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: system for purifying bottom settlings of water bodies from oil and/or oil products has a floating container - settling tank, a bottom purification unit and an air supply unit fitted with a spraying device, with the component parts connected to each other by pipes. The bottom purification unit is fitted with vibrators on the outer side of its bottom, and pneumatic converters fitted on the inner side of its bottom and connected by a flexible pipe to the air supply unit. The ratio of the diametre of a vibrator to the distance between the vibrators equals 1:3-1:5. The upper wall of the bottom purification unit narrows. The bottom of the bottom purification unit is made in form of a grid.

EFFECT: invention enables purification of water bodies from oil or oil products on subsurface layers of bottom settlings on the entire depth of their contamination.
