SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environmental protection and is intended for cleaning natural and artificial watercourses, the bottom of which is contaminated with oil and oil products. A method for cleaning bottom sediments and water in watercourses from oil and oil products includes washing out bottom sediments with a water-air jet under pressure, raising oil and oil products to the surface of the water, using booms in the area of erosion of bottom sediments, collecting an oil film on the water surface, using sorbent booms, below areas of erosion of bottom sediments on the surface of the watercourse are sequentially installed diagonally, with complete overlap of the channel of the watercourse, the first and second rows of booms, between which along the bottom of the watercourse are placed diagonally, from coast to coast, a means for creating an air-bubble curtain, limiting the area of cleaning the water column; after the second row of booms, in the area of cleaning the water surface from residual dissolved oil and oil products, rows of sorbent booms are installed, each of which is fixed in turn on opposite banks of the watercourse, shifting relative to each other, with the obligatory overlap of the previous row, at an acute angle to the watercourse bank ; before erosion of bottom sediments, an air-bubble curtain is created, which captures secondary oil and oil products, the collection of oil film and secondary oil film on the surface of the water is carried out by mechanical tools for collecting oil and oil products.

EFFECT: improving the efficiency of water treatment by simultaneously reducing the content of oil and oil products in bottom sediments, the water column and on the water surface.
