SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in a shaft to carry out rescue operations by mine rescue brigades. The shaft emergency communication system based on a wireless sensor network has on the surface of the shaft a control unit of a control centre with a telephone set and a telephone line which links the control unit with underground users. In the underground mine, the system has a wireless sensor network consisting of computing-switching radio devices - relays and a terminal device which is connected to the telephone line through a device for galvanic separation of circuits and an adapter. Mobile user devices are placed in separate illumination devices of the shaft and are connected to the nearest relays of the sensor network over a radio telephone channel.

EFFECT: invention enables establishment of a voice (telephone) radio channel for communication between underground users and with the surface of the shaft, increases the range of the established communication, increases reliability of underground radio communication.
