SUBSTANCE: method for non-explosive generation of longitudinal seismic waves relates to a non-explosive non-destructive method of seismic prospecting for oil and gas. The method involves transmission of momentum of a mechanical force from an electromagnetic actuator to a radiator - plate for exciting longitudinal seismic waves in the added mass of the soil not only through the perimetre of the radiator - plate, but also through its central part, leveling the seismic force field in the added mass of the soil; automatic control of movement of inductors with a tightening weight and an armature, acceleration of the radiator - plate in its centre, powering the high-voltage converter of electromagnetic seismic-wave generator batteries from accumulator batteries of extra-low voltage (not greater than 48 V) for non-operating vehicle - industrial source of seismic interference. In the added mass of the soil, a field of longitudinal seismic waves is formed, reflected multipath components of which are received from anisotropic boundaries in the ground by seismodetectors, processed and interpreted into parametres of the analysed geological sections and their evaluation for oil and gas.

EFFECT: increased reliability and quality of generating seismic waves in soil.
