FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on absorption of oxygen from air when adjusting ratios of air components in the chambers of agricultural product storage. When the products stored are breathing continuously and microorganisms breathe at regular intervals on additional volume of nutritional medium, excessive amount of carbon dioxide is removed from the gaseous mixture circulating in the closed loop of "chamber-air component ratio adjuster-chamber" and sterilised. At the same time, rate of oxygen absorption in the course of aerobic oxidation of additional organic matter inoculated by microorganisms and which is performed by microorganisms is higher than the rate enzymic oxidation of carbohydrates of stored agricultural products in the course of breathing. The amount of organic matter additionally introduced in the process and inoculated by microorganisms correspond to the required volume of oxygen absorption in the storage volume at the set time.
EFFECT: invention ensures retention of nutritional value of the stored product over a longer period, improved ecological cleanness of the process, fire safety as well as nonexplosiveness and reduced power inputs.
