PNEUMOGRAPHIC METHOD OF DETERMINING COMPONENTS OF RESPIRATORY MOVEMENTS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B5/00

SUBSTANCE: method includes placement of sensors of chest and subcostal area perimetre on human body, instrument registration of electric signal of sensors, construction of calibrating graph of dependence of respiratory movement characteristic on electric signal level. In case if man imitates respiration with unchanged lung volume, abdominal, thoracic and total pneumograms are recorded. After that pneumogram is balanced by principle of determining ratio of respiratory excursions of chest and abdomen if their volumes change on equal value, and balance coefficients are determined. Total balanced pneumogram is calibrated by means of spirograph, and calibrating coefficients for pneumograms, representing changes of volume in case of change of total perimetre on 1 mm, in ml/mm, are determined. Both total respiratory volume and its constituents: abdominal and thoracic components are found.

EFFECT: application of claimed method allows to eliminate high error of determination, improve conditions of examination.
