FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of preparing drilling fluids and can be used when drilling oil and gas wells. The method of preparing drilling fluid involves mixing an aqueous mixture of mud powder, addition of a semi-colloidal type filtrate agent - condensed sulfite-alcohol liquor or a coal-alkali reagent. The obtained mixture is subjected to mechanical activation using a disintegrator with two discs rotating about an axis in opposite directions, fitted with beater pins. The discs rotate at a rate of 14000-15000 rpm.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of semi-colloidal type filtrate agent.
