CATALYST COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING ZEOLITE BONDED TO METAL PHOSPHATE AND METHOD OF USING SAID COMPOSITIONS FOR HYDROCARBON CATALYTIC CRACKING Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC C10G11/05 B01J29/06 B01J27/18

Abstract RU 2382811 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to improved catalytic cracking reaction catalysts. The catalyst composition for hydrocarbon cracking contains: (a) a zeolite selected from a group containing ZSM-5 and other zeolites with ratio of silicon oxide to aluminium oxide not less than 12, (b) aluminium phosphate and (c) a phosphate of a metal different from aluminium, present in an amount sufficient for at least its functioning as binding material for zeolite which is in form of particles with average size of 20-150 micrometres. In another version the catalyst composition for hydrocarbon cracking contains: (a) a zeolite selected from a group containing ZSM-5 and other zeolites with radio of silicon oxide to aluminium oxide not less than 12, (b) a phosphate of a metal different from aluminium, present in an amount sufficient for at least its functioning as binding material for zeolite, where amount of metal phosphate determined from the amount of oxide of the respective metal is at least 5% of the mass of the catalyst composition, which is in form of particles with average size of 20-150 micrometres. The invention also relates to a method for hydrocarbon catalytic cracking which involves reacting hydrocarbons in catalytic cracking conditions in the presence of one of the said catalysts.

EFFECT: obtaining a catalyst which exhibits selectivity in the reaction for producing light C3 and C4 olefins.
