FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of armature engineering and is provided for parametres regulation of flows of working mediums in equipment of gas, oil, chemical, energy, metallurgical and coal industry. Multipurpose valve contains casing with inlet and outlet fittings, drive, sphere rotary gate with passage opening and shutoff part, saddle of sphere rotary gate with thickening surfaces. In passage opening of sphere rotary gate there are located throttling elements. Eight equispaced by circumference of passage opening, throttling elements allows in section perpendicular to axis of passage opening shape of isoscales triangle with 90° vertex. Vertex is directed to axis of passage opening. Four of mentioned throttling elements are stationary. The other four are located between them with ability of displacement in the direction of axis of passage opening. Value of this displacement is equal to leg of triangle of immovable throttling element.
EFFECT: invention provides increasing of regulation reliability in abrasive-carrying flow of working medium ensured by de-turbulising operation of configuration of passage opening with ability of leak-free shutoff of valve independently of wear of throttling elements.
