FIELD: heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to power engineering and can be used for steam generators of nuclear power stations with liquid-metal heat carrier at compensation of thermal expansions of the latter. There proposed is expansion joint, mainly of volume expansions at thermal effect on liquid-metal heat carrier of sectional steam generator, which contains housing with lower supply and discharge branch pipes of liquid-metal heat carrier and upper gaseous medium discharge branch pipes; separation shells and gas outlet caps, which are located in housing and the former of which are installed under the latter and the lower part of which is connected to heat carrier supply branch pipes, and the upper part - to housing cavity. Housing is provided with corrugated plates and partitions; at that, corrugated plates are made in the form of flattened cones the larger bases of which face lower liquid-metal heat carrier discharge branch pipes and together with partitions installed between gas outlet caps, they are located in housing below level of liquid-metal heat carrier.
EFFECT: such construction provides the possibility of performing damping compensation of volume expansions of heat carrier and decreasing metal dust deposit on surfaces of heat carrier path, thus increasing operating reliability of the design as a whole.
