FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to facilities for measurement of dust particles concentration in air and may be used to monitor atmosphere of residential and industrial premises. Invention is based on application of drop cluster, to initiate which, a layer of liquid is created in cuvette (in the form of Petri dish) from light-transparent material, on the bottom of which there is a painted section arranged, which absorbs around 90…95% of applied light source radiation intensity. Drop cluster is generated with heat action of light beam, which falls from cuvette perpendicularly to the plane of its bottom. 5…10% of light radiation that penetrates cuvette bottom are used to measure speed of drop cluster growth, which determines extent of air dustiness.

EFFECT: simplified operation of device due to possibility of using replaceable cuvettes.
