FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at detection of water content in multiphase flows by dielectric measurements with application of solenoid inductance coils (L-cells) as measuring cell, which are wound onto dielectric insert of pipeline. Maximum possible working frequency of inductive measuring coil is determined by electroconductivity of water that flows in pipeline, and is calculated by the following ratio: f(kHz)=0.46·æ(mkcm/cm)-20. At such frequency of resonant oscillating circuit with this L-cell, shift of circuit frequency does not depend on water composition and is directly proportional to its volume content in pipeline.
EFFECT: improved sensitivity of water content detection in multiphase flows of pipelines.
