FIELD: physics; optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optoelectronic engineering and can be used for making polyfunctional film inverted photonic crystals with band gap in the visible and infrared spectrum region, and suitable for making optoelectronic (electro-optical and magneto-optical) devices based on inverted photonic crystals. The method of making polyfunctional photonic crystals with inverted opal structure involves using straight photonic crystals based on polystyrene as a template. Materials making up the photonic crystal with inverted opal structure are compounds with combined optical, electrical and magnetic properties of Zn2SiO4, LiFe5O8, BaFe12O19, BaTiO3, SrTiO3, MgAl2O4 and Y3Al5O12.
EFFECT: obtaining polyfunctional photonic crystals with inverted opal structure with low defect concentration (one per 2 mcm2) and with photonic band gap in the visible and near infrared spectrum region.
