FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the application of formulations in powder form which can be used as an aqueous dispersion for surface treatment of aliments or foodstuffs, particularly cheeses, sausages, salami and cold meat courses. According to the invention, the formulation contains 60-80% (by weight) of vinyl acetate-ethylene or a copolymer of vinyl acetate-ethylene in which part of the monomer units derived from ethylene are substituted by units derived from alkyl acrylates and alkyl versatates. Said formulations can additionally comprise an antimycotic active ingredient, as well as antibacterial agents.

EFFECT: dry formulations, pertaining to the present invention, ensure reducing transport costs and enable preparing emulsions or suspensions for the preservation treatment at the moment of their use, thus eliminating the hazard of freezing them during transportation or during stops in cold countries.
