FIELD: coatings.
SUBSTANCE: protective coating for food products comprises polymer dispersion, modifier, water-soluble food dye and water. As a polymer dispersion, a dispersion based on vinyl acetate or its copolymers is used. Triacetin is used as a modifier in an amount of 0.05% by weight of the polymer dispersion. As an antifungal and antibacterial component, a mixture of propionic acid or its salt and a colloidal solution of silver is used. All components are used in a certain ratio.
EFFECT: invention ensures safe storage of food products, prevents their biological and physical spoilage.
